We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2013 INDiscussion competition.  The winner is “The Crisis of Hong Kong Identity” by Timothy Yu, which was written following the aftermath of the protests against the ‘election’ of Hong Kong’s Chief Executive Leung Chun-Ying on April 1, 2012.

Tim Yu is a fourth-year undergraduate student from Edmonton, Alberta studying at the University of Alberta. He became interested in Hong Kong and Chinese politics after studying for a year abroad at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
