James has been involved with INDePth as an executive member in the Research and Development department last year and has contributed in research and facilitating for the workshops. This year, as the Co-President, James is looking forward to creating an academic environment for university students to engage in the security development of the Korean Peninsula and hosting another successful INDePth Conference.
JUSTIN PATRICK KWAN / Co-President
Justin is currently a fourth year student at UofT majoring in Political Science and Asia Pacific Studies. Born and raised in Toronto, Justin’s interest in the Asia Pacific stems from his desire to better understand his ancestral heritage. Last year, Justin represented the Asian Institute as a student delegate where he conducted field research on cross-strait relations in Taipei, Taiwan and Xiamen, China. His love of Asia has recently inspired his most recent trip this summer when he spent 8 weeks exploring Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Mainland China. Justin also serves as the Director of Marketing at the Contemporary Asian Studies Student Union (CASSU). As INDePth Co-President, Justin hopes to use his previous experiences to produce another successful conference and inspire within the delegates an avid interest in Korea.
